The club is deeply saddened to announce the passing of former player Lisa Oakden, who has died at the age of 31 following a courageous battle with cancer. Lisa represented the Ladies First Team for four seasons and was a much-loved member of the squad both on and off the pitch. She was known for her infectious smile and her determined presence on the field — a player who combined warmth and personality with a powerful tackle and a strong strike on goal. Beyond her contributions as a footballer, Lisa is remembered fondly by former teammates and club staff for her positive spirit, resilience, and the lasting friendships she built during her time at the club. She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. The club extends its deepest condolences to Lisa’s family and friends, especially her young son, Phoenix, during this incredibly difficult time. Rest in peace, Lisa.
